This week, our Squire Patton Boggs global supply chain legal team has gotten some really good press!
On Friday, March 6, 2015, Inside Counsel Magazine interviewed Sarah Rathke on “How to Hammer out Supply Chain Contract Issues.” In this article, we discuss best practices for drafting supply chain agreements and avoiding disputes. One of the specific issues we talk about is the importance of making sure that the key constituencies within a company that will be involved in a program – engineering, legal, reliability, procurement, etc. – are also involved in the contracting process to ensure that all of the important issues are considered.
Then, on Monday, March 9, 2015, Inside Counsel ran a second article entitled, “Forging an Ethical Supply Chain.” In this article, we discuss how to ensure that supply chains comply with Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) goals and priorities. We talk about how to structure contract provisions to ensure the right to monitor – and audit – CSR compliance.
Special thanks to Inside Counsel reporter Rich Steeves for his excellent coverage! Thanks Rich!
